#StillInIt 2017 - Week 3

Image
Week 3's goal was to lift more. The more muscle you have, the more calories you burn at a resting heart rate. I feel like I met that goal because I was so sore come Thursday and after a big leg day on Saturday. I felt I ate decently with oatmeal and fruit in the morning, a light dinner, salad majority of the time and I haven't had a drop of alcohol this week. It has been over two weeks since I have alcohol. For snacks, I am in love with Lenny & Larry's Birthday Cake cookies. When I am craving something sweet, I have a piece. For some reason I gained .8 of a pound and my body fat increased by 4%. Why that is? I don't know. I thought I was on track to making progress, not taking a slight step backward. Any one have ideas? Here's a recap of the week: Monday Weight lifted: 14,480 Legs Snapchat: bappletree Tank by CaliMuscle Tuesday Weight lifted: 4,180 Chest Tank by fellow blogger: Section-36 Shoes by Brooks Erika is a rep for LeVel . #StillInIt 2017 - Week 2

Image
Week 2 is DONE! I am down another 1.6 pounds, .5% body fat, lowered BMI and body measurements for my waist and hips and increased muscle. I didn't have a drop of alcohol and it wasn't even a struggle with Cinco de Mayo and going out for a girls' night to see Daniel Tosh in San Jose. Meal prepping was done on Sunday evening with lemon pepper and garlic parmesan zucchini thanks to Pinterest, plus cabbage and sausage. Tasty. I also attempted to take the Thrive pill and wore a patch. I wanted to test it using it when I wasn't going to take my normal Shredz supplements. I couldn't really tell if it altered my mood. However, a friend has lost 20 pounds using it but just remember, it's not a magic pill. Working out and eating right has to happen. So to recap: Monday Weight lifted: 1,800 Morning workouts are at 5:30 AM. Bodybuilding.com Tuesday Weight lifted: 3,300 HIIT, don't forget to stretch. Snapchat - 'bappletree' T...

Fashion Consultant?

Since I have been posting a lot more via my social media pages and sharing Stella & Dot more than usual, I have received some great comments and a few inquiries of what to wear recently. It's great to have some amazing friends that are really supportive and ask me for my opinion. I was honored to dress a friend when she was attending this year's Grammy awards. She was wearing my black dress with slits on the arms and this statement necklace. I will now be providing my friend that has an office job with some jewelry to play around with. She said she will be taking pictures and posting them on social media promoting my business. I received this text from a soon-to-be Masters recipient of what to wear during her commencement ceremony. I am honored. A staff member of mine also asked to bring some jewelry to work so she can switch up her wardrobe. It is always nice to add something new to your collection. I suggested that I'd provide some jewels to w...

Cinco de Mayo 2017

Image
It's not Mexican Independence Day. That's actually in September. As provided by a friend of mine that happens to be a Rodan & Fields rep AND a school teacher, she posted this to educate us all via social media. With that said, most folks make it a reason to party. I went to my #Instafriend's annual Cinco de Drinko event at her San Francisco condo. I borrowed her sombrero pequeno for a second, enjoyed her enchiladas (even got to take some home) and also dropped off a Summer Stella & Dot catalog. No margarita was consumed and tequila shots were not had. Thanks, #StillInIt . I hope everyone has a safe evening. -------- This is #27 of 30 daily blog posts to hit 10,000 hits in one month. #StillInIt - Week 1

Image
I lost TWO pounds in one week! That's pretty good when I'm trying to lose 10 in total. My body fat percentage, BMI and body measurements decreased but my muscle mass has increased. I have been dedicated to working out every day, hitting my 10,000 steps, eating better and limiting myself to one drink per week. I am ready to take on Week 2. But this is what it took. Sunday I took my measurements in the morning before I hit the gym and met up with friends to check out wedding venues and wine taste in Sonoma County. I am scoping out venues for my cousin's June 2018 wedding and gaining my knowledge of local venues. I indulged in cheese and charcuterie, wine, pasta and dessert. I had plans to wake up by 4:30 or 4:45 AM the next day so I can start the challenge and my day off right. I was glad to be home by 8 PM so I could meal prep steak, brown rice and stuffed mushrooms and in bed at a reasonable hour. Monday I used to wake up early to hit the gym so I know I could do i...
