Congrats, San Jose Sharks!

Image
Last night, the San Jose Sharks clinched a spot in the playoffs! And I was there for their HP Fan Appreciation night with my buddy, Brian. What an exciting game. The first period had a play with so many close attempts at the goal but just couldn't get it in! We want to be literally on the edge of your seat and to get a closer look but you can't! I personally love the speed and non-stop action of hockey, that's the same reason why I love boxing. I think I'll go to more games next season and possibly consider play off tickets. There is not a bad seat in The Shark Tank. Congrats to the San Jose Sharks! Thanks for the free bag too. We had a blast! 5/8/13 UPDATE - Swept the Canucks and headed to Round 2. Congrats! Brian and I watched it at Burgermeister over a carb-filled meal while watching the Giants game as well. My friend, Rich, was sitting basically in the dug out and waved to me twice! Caught it on video too. It's pretty awesome that waves to me w...

It's an Event Planning Weekend!

Image
This weekend consists of doing a walk-thru at Holman Ranch in Carmel Valley, Ca for a wedding in June with Paradise Catering. The venue is gorgeous. See photos below. Then my first time working a Mundan, a traditional head shaving ceremony, in San Francisco for amazing repeat clients. I also do their holiday parties and their wedding so it is such an honor to be a part of the special events in their lives. I truly love working for them. I just can't say 'NO.' Tomorrow I will be chatting with my very good friend and bride about my first Mormon wedding in July. I will not be a part of the ceremony in the temple as I am not Mormon but will be a Bridesmaid and be at the ring ceremony at a private residence and the reception. I can't wait to learn more about their traditions. Also working on a possible partnership with a caterer for a 30th birthday party at the end of May in San Mateo, CA, and future events. We shall see.

Is It In the Cards?

This past Valentine's Day, I realized that I have been in back to back relationships for 10 years. Before that, I had a 3-year period of being single but seeing people, and before that my 5.5-year-long first love with my high school sweetheart. I thought I would be the first one to get married and have kids out of the six Manzano grandchildren. Funny how that has turned out to gain the title of the first one to get divorced. But 10 years is a long time to be in relationship after relationship. My plan was to embrace being single, be truly independent and experience life, because after the hell I have been thru, I felt I deserved it. I wasn't opposed to dating and if I found myself infatuated/in love with someone amazing, but moreso that person in love with me as well, I wasn't going to let it slip away. Another thought I had to accept was that it all might not happen for me: I may never have kids. For anyone that knows me, I have been wanting my own family since forever....

Welcome to Miami

A group of girls and I are heading to Miami for a Bachelorette party. It is going to be epic. I have never been to Miami. I have been to Fort Lauderdale and the Bahamas, but not Miami. Looking forward to it with these girls. BUT, I have to be committed to eating better and sticking to my work out plan. Who's with me?!?! Friend me on MyFitnessPal.com to keep me in check!

Thank You!
