The San Francisco Dungeon

Image
"I don't like that." as I sat on a crate by myself in a dimly lit room awaiting the start of the experience of The San FranciscoDungeon. Four doors were in front of me and one had someone attempting to open from the other side a bit violently.  My roommate, Kim, returned from using the restroom and sat next to me. After our photo was taken in front of a green screen, we waited for the show to begin.  Thinking we were the only two for a 9 PM show, two gents from Kentucky arrived. We were a foursome headed into multiple rooms lead by an array of characters.

The experience takes you room to room with live actors telling you the history of San Francisco in the 1800s to early 1900s during the plague, James 'Shanghai' Kelly and Alcatraz back in the day. You can be in an elevator, a boat, a mirror maze, judged by an animated judge wanting to 'Hang 'em high!" and prepare to get spooked with theatrics and special seats and props, including a two story free fa…

"You can actually cook, which is pretty rare (for women he's met)," says a 29-year-old self-taught cook. I don't do anything half ass.
My current roommate turned me onto Plated, a meal delivery service that would send you all the ingredients you may need and the recipe with clear step-by-step instructions. Majority of the meals are delicious. Want to try it out? Let me send you a free box. Emailme!
My latest success was making poke myself. This same guapo brought me back a little poke recipe book from his first trip to Hawai'i and I decided to take a…

It's the number equivalent to running 5+ half marathons. I have slacked a bit of blogging about my Team in Training efforts. It's been a bit busy for this One Busy Bee, but I have not NOT ran. I am scheduled to run a half marathon benefiting the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society in January 2019 at Walt Disney World (book your trip with me! Now a Certified Disney Travel Agent.) I have recruited my friend, Nelly, to join me and he's doing great. I am doing alright as well.

The farthest I have ran so far in one attempt is 10 miles. Those runs consist of running from the Argonaut Hotel where I work to Fort Point, a couple of laps around the Marina Green and/or Fort Mason, the Aquatic Park Pier and back to the hotel. I have learned that I hate running in the sun, need a breeze to keep me from overheating and I also want to be a better driver and make sure I look to my right for pedestrians and runners.  I have had many encounters with drivers not being aware of their surroundings…
