Wedding Gowns Starting at $49 & Going to Charity?!

What a wonderful event. I had to re-post and share. As someone who has lost friends and family to cancer and understand that the wedding dress I considered getting was $5,000 but settled on one for less than $1,000, this would make someone's special day incredibly amazing and while supporting a fantastic cause. Kudos to East Bay Bridal.

A PARTNERSHIP WITH WOMEN'S CANCER RESOURCE CENTER 
(PLEASANTON, CALIFORNIA) 
Weddings are a special time in women's lives and so is the wedding gown. However for many, the purchase of a wedding gown can be costly and exorbitant. Fortunately, there is now a solution that also helps women cancer patients throughout the East Bay! 
Norcal Media's East Bay Bridal is a publication that has become the "GO TO" guide for brides-to-be and this year they are proud to partner with the Women's Cancer Resource Center (wcrc.org), an organization which provides free cancer services to women throughout the East Bay. This Charity Wedding Gown Sale/Bridal Fair will offer brides-to-be the opportunity to purchase from hundreds of wedding gowns starting at $49, while at the same time helping the Cancer Center. 100% of the proceeds from the Gown Sale will be donated back to the Women's Cancer Center. 
If you've already said your 'I dos' and are wondering what to do with your dress... consider donating it to this worthwhile event.  By donating your dress, your donation will ensure: appropriate care and cancer treatment, emergency financial assistance, cancer support groups, and in-home services.  
If you are interested in attending the Gown Sale/Bridal Fair, the event is being held at the Pleasanton Doubletree (formerly the Pleasanton Hilton at the Club) on Sunday, October 12th from 11-4pm. Tickets are only $15 in advance or $20 at the door.

I became a fan of the Bad Girls Club when a Season 3 marathon was airing (in 2008, is it?) and I just had the television on while I was doing chores around the house. My Most Engaging Post Yet

Christmas is just days away. A storm in the Bay Area has passed. Two holiday parties were a success. But these past 18 hours have been a whirlwind for sure. Yesterday evening, after dinner, in our home office discussing the home we are in process of purchasing, holding a gray box from The Shane Company , my boyfriend (wearing a black long sleeved shirt and his Adidas pants with white paint stains from painting the condo earlier this year, and I in jeans, my Toby Keith blue tank top from his Las Vegas “ I Love This Bar ” restaurant, my blue SFSU zipper up sweatshirt, and my brown childhood blanket draped over my lap) got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. “Yeah.” I hugged him tight and kissed him repeatedly. It's Gonna Be May

I'm sure you've seen it. If you have a friend named May, the *Nsync memes are overtaking your Facebook and Instagram feed, right? Tomorrow ends the month of April and I was 10 posts behind the daily blog post challenge. For this Monday Motivation post, I will keep going until I reach that 30 count. Better late than never! May is turning out to be a busy month. Not surprising for this One Busy Bee. I finally have a set schedule for my part time job as a Concierge at the Argonaut Hotel at Fisherman's Wharf. I really do like the job, what I'm doing, the hotel and staff, and how the time spent here contributes to my experience in the travel and tourism industry, all the while continuing in the hospitality industry as well. Working only about 30 hours a week, it will finally allow me to schedule workouts, get in some sort of sleeping pattern and work on my business as a Travel Agent . There is so much to do!
