Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Fundraiser - July 30, 2011

I hate cancer, don't you? I love wine, don't you?


I am hosting my very first fundraising event at my home in Brentwood, CA to help raise funds in support of finding a cure for breast cancer. My group of friends and family, consisting of TEAM LAGADE, will be participating in the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk on October 1, 2011 in Stockton, California. Our team goal is $1,500.

We walk for our Aunt Virginia Saguing who is in remission. We walk for our late cousin, Natalie Nobida, who continues to watch over us since May 26, 2010. I walk for Maureen Withrow, a wonderful woman we lost earlier this year. I also walk for my friends and family who have not been diagnosed and for the same reason I do the AIDS Walk, I will continue to walk to help AVOID a positive diagnosis.

On July 30th, a very good friend will be providing some delicious wine by J. Lohr Vineyards, plus many other wineries to add a twist to general wine tasting. Prepare your palate, Wine Lovers.
I will have my gorgeous Stella & Dot jewelry displayed and offering discounts to sponsors. (See below)
Raffle tickets will be sold for $3 or two for $5. Raffle prizes include:

I became a fan of the Bad Girls Club when a Season 3 marathon was airing (in 2008, is it?) and I just had the television on while I was doing chores around the house. Every now and then I’d hear “*BEEP* you, you *BEEP*ing *BEEP*!”, some screaming and “This is the Amber Show” do-do-do-do-do-Doo! My Most Engaging Post Yet

Christmas is just days away. A storm in the Bay Area has passed. Two holiday parties were a success. But these past 18 hours have been a whirlwind for sure. Yesterday evening, after dinner, in our home office discussing the home we are in process of purchasing, holding a gray box from The Shane Company , my boyfriend (wearing a black long sleeved shirt and his Adidas pants with white paint stains from painting the condo earlier this year, and I in jeans, my Toby Keith blue tank top from his Las Vegas “ I Love This Bar ” restaurant, my blue SFSU zipper up sweatshirt, and my brown childhood blanket draped over my lap) got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. “Yeah.” I hugged him tight and kissed him repeatedly. It's Gonna Be May

I'm sure you've seen it. If you have a friend named May, the *Nsync memes are overtaking your Facebook and Instagram feed, right? Tomorrow ends the month of April and I was 10 posts behind the daily blog post challenge. For this Monday Motivation post, I will keep going until I reach that 30 count. Better late than never! May is turning out to be a busy month. Not surprising for this One Busy Bee. I finally have a set schedule for my part time job as a Concierge at the Argonaut Hotel at Fisherman's Wharf. I really do like the job, what I'm doing, the hotel and staff, and how the time spent here contributes to my experience in the travel and tourism industry, all the while continuing in the hospitality industry as well. Working only about 30 hours a week, it will finally allow me to schedule workouts, get in some sort of sleeping pattern and work on my business as a Travel Agent . There is so much to do!
